Philosophy
The broadcasting industries have plenty of barriers to entry. Why should the software that is key to smooth running workflow for a television, radio or cable broadcaster or a production or post-production facility be part of that problem? Diversity in the media is important. The way Open Source Software can help on the desktop, it can help in the engineering, traffic and operations departments.
Pro Broadcast Tools aims to be part of the solution. We're going to work towards a complete suite of software solutions for the broadcaster and producer. Most likely, these tools will be available under the GPL.
